More Mediterranean Style

I attended a meeting at the Montelucia Resort (I featured yesterday) and adjacent to the meeting room was this lovely little sitting area that I thought was extremely attractive and certainly in keeping with the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean decor throughout the place.

Out of view in the above photo is this doorway that leads in and out of this little sitting area.  Being in this room kind of makes you think you are in Morocco!

I beg to differ. In Morocco the doorway would be in a different shape, rather than shaped like a Roman arch. But it is nice to have Mediterranean touches in the decor.

I was in Morocco in 1957 (when in the Navy) and yes, this place certainly does have a Moroccan feel to it!

The colours are fantastic! It certainly has a Northern Africa/Middle East feeling to it.

Nice rich colors and I love that door.

Very nice. I like the painting. It mirrors the colors perfectly.

I like the minimalist feel of this. Colors are rich and deep...absorbing lots of light.

There are so many places in AZ that can transport you to another country just by stepping foot in the door!
Lovely colors.

It is a nice decor and the colors are great for that mediterranean look. If I splurged for a week at a spa in Arizona, I would want a southwestern decor.

The rust and ochre colors seem quite Mediterranean.

The colours are also Southwest. Hope you were able to sit and enjoy the space a bit.

Oh very nice Sharon, I'd very much like the chair in the first image (I have a thing about beautiful chairs) and the chandelier in the second, although I have absolutely no place for a chandelier (or another chair come to mention it!)
