Lunch Time Challenge #1

I'm giving myself a little challenge for this week.  The weather is so nice right now I think should get out of the office for lunch this week and I've challenged myself to take a blog photo at lunch every day this week.  Above is Monday's picture.  Not very far from my office, I spotted this statue in someone's yard.

It is formed from a variety of salvaged pieces of metal and items that have been discarded.  There was a signature on the piece that looks like it says Carla Cola 09 however, I can't find any information to confirm that name.

I can't wait to see what I find tomorrow.

I think this person is the most creative artist whose work of "found things" I ever saw.

Wow, that is wild! Got to have a good imagination to put something like that together. What a great find. Perhaps Carla had a little too much rum in her cola when she decided to make a horse? :-)

What a great idea Sharon, it will really make you 'look' as you walk around. I have to say this is a brilliant start to the challenge, some people have the most amazing imaginations.

I believe I know where may have gotten this. There is a place on Val Vista and Main. I was driving around the area one time, came to the stop and gasped! This looks just like the horse I saw out front. There were other fun and funky sculpture--like yard ornamentation ,too.

Very unique!

I'll be anxious to see and enjoy your finds. I like "junk/found objects" sculptures.

We have a couple of these horses around town. I even posted them on my blog a while back.
Good luck on your photo hunt!

That took quite a bit of imagination to "see" that horse in that pile of...stuff. :)

It reminds me of the 'horse' they use in the play "War Horse". Great!
