Shade

When you live in the desert, shade is an essential key to survival.  This shaded pathway is on the grounds of the Royal Palms Resort.

It would be so pleasant to stop in this shade.

You're right about the shade, and this spot looks ideal for a brief cool-0ff.

Lushness in the desert. Lovely!

I'm lucky to have found a big oak tree to park my vehicle under at my new home. Shade is precious here too!

I think it was General Sherman, who was sent on an expedition across Arizona, and who sent a dispatch back to Washington reporting that in Arizona one us usually 4 miles from the nearest shade, 8 miles from the nearest water, and 6 feet from hell.

He would be surprised to see scenes such as those you are showing from the Royal Palms.

Nice path and I might even be able to walk there if it wasn't over 85*f. outside.

Did this path by chance lead to yesterday's sweet little reading nook?

Everything I see from this resort makes it look more appealing, Sharon.
