Silk

I’m starting to see cactus blooming.  This blossom looks like it’s made of silk.

As this image scrolled up on my screen, I was thinking: Wow, silk flowers have certainly evolved! They are truly beautiful and the lighting brings out so many special qualities.

Gosh...this has to be one of the prettiest flowers I have seen. I know there are some even prettier but not around here.

I am happy to know several people like that: prickles all around and very beautiful, silk inside.

One of the things that amazed me when we first moved to Arizona was the way the desert bloomed. I mean, whoever heard of cactus flowers?

These are gorgeous; reminds me of a silk nightie someone wore once!

The subtlety of the two shades of lavender is exquisite.

So soft, for something seemingly so prickly.

This is special, Sharon. As a guy from the Northeast, I am still surprised when I see pictures of flowering cacti. Who knew?

Sharon, it does look like silk. It shines and reflects. Perfect!

I always think it is magical when my cacti (Which grow inside here) bloom. Great use of your lens.
