Cowboy Ciao

Before my friends and I set out on the Tour for Life last Sunday, we stopped for brunch at a favorite place called Cowboy Ciao. They describe their food as “modern American food with global influences”. Whatever they call it, I’ve always enjoyed everything I’ve been served. They pair their meals with a 3200 bottle wine selection. Ask for a recommendation, it takes way too long to read the wine list.

You can view their web site here.

So many wines to choose from! What ever happened to "bottle of red, bottle of white"? Love the word play in their name...Cowboy Ciao. Sounds delicious!

Funny that a "cowboy" place would have such an extensive wine list...I'd think they promote beer more than wine. Looks like a nice place, though.

Okay...I'm bad, but as soon as I saw the name, Cowboy Ciao, all I could think of was spaghetti westerns. :)
Looks like a fun place and with 3200 wine selections, how could it not be?

It looks like the kitchen entry has the words "Home on the range" over it. Now that's funny.

That's an impressive cellar

Sounds wonderful. Nice looking bar. I have to come to Phoenix in May and I might be staying in that area. I just might have to try it.

I am trying to think what food would NOT qualify for "modern American with global influences."

3200 different wines?! How to choose just one? :-) I wonder if they have any from the Alentejo region (my favourites).
