Song Bird

This little song bird was hanging just outside a small shop and he was singing a cheery tune.

He would probably be singing an even cheerier tune if he was not in that cage, as long as someone kept giving him food.

Ok... one of life's mysteries--- why do we cage birds? Let 'em fly, let 'em sing! Sheeeesh!

I do not like cages. And zoos, too.

I love to hear birds singing...I have owned Zebra Finches before and yes, they were kept in a cage. Sorry, guys.

It has a pretty and unusual color.
Much more lively than the birds I posted today.

I have to agree with Birdman on this one. Such a beautiful little thing.

The air must have been clear of death-dealing fumes!

It is a nice-looking bird - rather unusual color. I tend to agree with Dave but it probably wouldn't survive very long outside of its cage.

Re your comment on Ocala DP: I'm going to have to check further tomorrow, but it seems Dr. Harter & Associates remain in the building...

Whenever I feel afraid
I hold my head erect
And whistle a happy tune
So no one will suspect
I'm afraid.

Kind of sad seeing this beauty behind bars...
