Night in the Garden

It seems I can’t resist an opportunity to photograph the beautiful Chihuly sculptures that grace the entrance to the Desert Botanical Garden.  I snapped this shot Saturday night when I was there for the Luminarias.

Happy Birthday to my dear friend David! Celebrate the day!

I hope the Desert Botanical Garden raises enough money to keep these Chihuly sculptures permanently.

If I had known it is David's birthday today, I would have extended birthday wishes to him last evening when we saw him and you.

Did you enjoy the luminarias? Tracy and I talked about trying to get there to see them. The sculptures are gorgeous by night.

Fabulous pieces. Are they not there permanently?

They're certainly beautiful any time of the day and under any lighting situations. I'm glad you couldn't resist!

Your photograph of Chihuly's glass spikes is wonderful. I have seen Chihuly work in garden/conservatory settings 4 - 5 times, and I think that is where they are at their best.
