Copper

The Sheraton Hotel in downtown Phoenix makes a perfect backdrop for the copper dome on the rectory at St. Mary’s.

I really like this. The very different buildings, the shapes and light!:)

What a great eye you had for this one. That dome is so shiny I'm wondering if it's been polished recently.

I like how the sun is hitting the copper dome, with the darker background.

I just read in the Phoenix newspaper yesterday that tome thieves stole all of the copper light fixtures at a park in Mesa because of the high price for copper scrap, and now all of the children cannot play their soccer games and practices in the evening.

Great photo. First picture I've seen that actually makes the Sheraton look half way decent. ;-)

perfect indeed. nice leading lines on the dome and cross, and also the perpendicular one of the windows and brick structure of the sheraton.

have you ever stayed there? the sheraton i mean, not the church. ;-)
