Long Distance View
This photo of the Phoenix downtown and central core was taken from the top of South Mountain, quite a distance away. As you might expect with most big cities, I had to shoot through a lot of haze. I did some post-op work to clarify the shot.

There are so many landmarks visible here. The baseball stadium on the lower left. The basketball arena in the lower center. And so many of the office towers to downtown, and midtown, and the green vegetation of the north central residential area.
The "S" on the mountain on the north edge is for Sunnyslope, which is an area settled in the 1930's as a place for people with tuberculosis to live to seek relief in the dry desert air. I mention this in part because your sister left a comment about tuberculosis on my site a few days ago. IN the 1930's the doctors recommended to my grandfather that he move to Arizona for his tuberculosis, but he did not have the money, so he was quarantined and died in Ohio.
There are probably more people within the scope of this image as there are in the entire state of Vermont.

Aha...Jarat says you got a new lens! Good job! I remember driving to the top of South Mountain at least once ... it was (and is) quite a view!

You asked about whether the Wilde Building is occupied now. Yes. Met Life occupies another of the buildings on the site and Cigna still occupies this building. In fact, with their new CEO, it appears that the Hartford employee population of Cigna might be on the rise. One can hope.
