Theme Day: Open Air Market

Open air markets in Phoenix, in the summer are a bit of a challenge, but we do have several around town that are thriving. The one I go to on the edge of downtown Phoenix, uses huge evaporative coolers at the ends of some of the aisles to help keep the temperature tolerable for the vendors and the shoppers alike. A little music to entertain the shoppers helps too.

Tomorrow I’ll give you a taste of why I go almost every Saturday morning in spite of the heat.

I'm not surprised open air markets might be rare in the summer heat!

music makes a good addition and it is hard in this heat at this time of the year to find open air markets in phoenix

I did not know that they have portable evaporative coolers. Smart.

It's a challenge for sure - one Magpie and I couldn't meet this time. I gotta say anyone is brave to get out this time of year.

First time I've ever heard of coolers at a market but I suppose it stands to reason!

Those are some brave vendors and shoppers. The heat has been too much for me. Glad you're still enjoying this market though.
