Climber

I took this photo the day after I got my new telephoto lens wanting to do some test photographs. This is the very top of one of the mountains of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve taken from the Biltmore golf course. I didn’t know until I downloaded the photos and started examining them that I captured a climber. He is really hard to see in the small photo above, so I added an arrow to point to him.  I cropped the climber out of the photo above and put it below so you could see him better.  I think I'm really going to enjoy this new lens.

So my question is, is he wearing a red shirt or is he hiking bare-chested?

From the portal, I thought you were somewhere exotic and shot a giant piece of lava. Your new lens will give you (and us) many hours of pleasure!

LOL..I was wondering the same thing brattcat was wondering. But no one is their right mind would do that. Yikes! I think I'm going to enjoy your new lens, too. :-)

It's always so fun to look at the pictures after you get them downloaded and see what you can find that you didn't see when you took them. I can always find something in my telephoto shots that I didn't know was there. Fun.

I think I'll start closing my curtains more often! :)
Have fun with the new lens and enjoy your "nice, cool Arizona" weekend.

Magpie's comment above reminds me of a story my dad told me. My parents were a a dinner party at the hillside house of a friend. They gave a tour of the house, and my dad saw a telescope in the room of their teenage son. My tried to make conversation with the teenager about his interest in astronomy. The kid responded that he was not interested in astronomy and that he uses the telescope to look into the windows of the homes down the hill.

At least the kid was honest.

Great capture with your new lens. My experience is that whatever details in your photos you might overlook, Brattcat will find them when you post them.

It is amazing what details a telephoto lens can pick up
