America’s Tacos

This is a new and very popular taco shop that just opened near where I live. I heard some rave reviews from several people so weekend before last, I stopped in for a bite. The Carne Asada burrito was so good, I went back the next day and got another. The shop is named for the owner, America Corrales, the youngest of six children born in Culiacan, Sinaloa in Mexico. America and her husband opened their first restaurant in 2008 and now have three locations across the valley.

Looks a bit deserted here. You should have taken a few snaps inside.

Good to see a new, successful, family-owned restaurant.

I have eaten at the one down in Coronado but haven't visited this one yet ~ even though it's also very close to where I live.

Always happy to hear a success story. Hope that their business continues to grow and garner lots of customers. They must be happy to be away from Culiacan, Sinaloa because of the Sinaloa drug cartel there. It's a dangerous place; they're much safer in your neighborhood.

It looks like a nice place to have a burro. I guess this is the American Dream? :-)

Where is this one Sharon? I will have to try it but my first love is Chico's Tacos on 7th Street and Mc Dowell.
