Pueblo Style

The landscaping around this pueblo-style home is quite dramatic. The fountain to the right was attracting birds and the flowers along the front are a nice touch. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner was a landscape architect.

In addition to the creative landscaping, my guess is that the pueblo style of the house is a remodel that added the facade to a traditional ranch house. The high parapet above the windows is probably intended to conceal the original sloped roof. Moreover, the house has a one car garage. That is a sign of an older home in Phoenix

There is such pride of place in evidence here. It looks quite refreshing under that cloudless blue sky.

This is charming and the kind of homes I think about when I think about the SW - not the cookie cutter homes that most of us live in.

Yes, someone does take pride - and time - in their household appearance. Just lovely.

Sharon, do ever get grief from residents for taking photos of their houses/landscape?

Brenda, no I haven't had any complaints yet.

This is a very appealing house. Can't imagine why someone would object to your snapping a photo, but one never knows!
