Hi Sharon,I got to chaperone the 2nd grade field trip this year to the Desert Outdoor Center. We learned the Saguaro Cactus only blooms during the month of May. The flowers are food for doves and bats. The Squaro Blossom is also the State Wildflower of Arizona. Can't wait to see what I learn in 3rd grade :) Have a good weekend.

Magnificent saguarus! This is a fantastic season for all cacti, mine are blooming too.

I have so enjoyed the saguaros this year. I wonder if I just never paid attention before?
