North on Central

On Saturday I had an opportunity to look at some of the condos available at One Lexington, a high-rise building on Central Avenue that I pictured here. When I took that photo in 2008, the building was called Century Plaza. The owners at that time lost the building in the real estate downturn and it has since been purchased by a new group who changed the name and is completing construction on the condominium units. From what I saw, it’s going to be beautiful with fantastic views as you can see from this shot looking north (away from downtown) on Central Avenue.

Can you give us a sense of cost to live in one of those units?

The units are 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and the prices range from $164,000 to $546,000. There are also several penthouse units that havent' been priced yet.

I think we see this outlook in Hitchcock's "Psycho," which begins in Phoenix, remember?

I love this shot for so many reasons, but especially because it shows that our Phoenix air can sometimes be beautifully clear and crisp!

This would be a fine location for someone that wanted to be in the middle of everything. And the views are fantastic. I'd love to see inside one of them.

I'm not sure where this is, but it does bring back some memories...I used to work for Retail Credit Company (now Equifax) in a building on Central just south of Camelback Rd.

Nice photo from that perspective!

I've been told that the building on the right of the photo with the radomly placed narrow windows was originally an IBM building and was built to look like a an old IBM computer card. Any ideas on that?
