The rainy season in the desert produces mushrooms in the garden.

Are they edible?

They are such fragile things, of such great variety. This is an excellent composition of spring.

Mushrooms are very rare in the desert, except perhaps in an over-watered lawn.

Is this from the Alice in Wonderland movie?

Wow, what a great looking mushroom. I get them in my yard sometimes and I hurry out and pull them up so my dogs do not eat them. I don't know which are edible.
