Downtown Phoenix….From a distance

Taken from the east side of Phoenix and filtered through the haze and pollution of a big city.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this photo is that there are two construction cranes visible on the left side of the photo, although they are for buildings planned before the economic downturn of 2008. When those buildings are finished, I fear that there will be a few years without any cranes, as I doubt new buildings are being readied now to start this year or next.

Oh I recognise that haze. Think it's why I have so many colds. Still on a positive note I love the pictures that haze enables you to take.

It's seems the haze stays longer and longer now. I yearn for the days when the skies were clear all the time. Great shot.

Still not as bad as L.A. And the haze makes for some great sunset shots.

I would recognize that skyline anywhere! And smog.

Oh dear, methinks Phoenix has grown some! We always had some smog though, being in the Valley of the Sun...heh, heh.

This is a wonderful photograph!
