Midtown View

Here is a view of the midtown area of Phoenix taken from an office window. You can see several buildings that I have feature in the past. The 3300 Building is in the glass building in the center and the Phoenix Fiancial building is that curved building that looks like it has no windows. This view is looking north along Central Avenue.

This is a good perspective north along Central from midtown. From the angle, you had to be in a building that is set back a block or so east from Central Avenue. My guess is that this was taken from the Hilton Suites Hotel on Thomas Rd, just east of Central, or some place very close by.

I like how you don't have too many tall buildings.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas, Sharon. And belated birthday greetings to your sisters. Wishing you a joyful, peaceful and love-filled new year.

I used to call that latter building "the IBM card building". I lived just a couple of blocks east of it for many years.

I noticed that there are many parking garages in the picture. I didn't know there were that many.
