Homeward Bound

Another sculpture from the Allan Houser exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. This one is called "Homeward Bound" and depicts a young woman walking toward her home with her sheep and her little dog following behind. I love this one and I like the way they bridged it over a shallow arroyo. I still have more sculptures to show and I'll fit them in throughout the next few weeks.

I like this sculpture very much. I wouldn't mind having it in my own garden. ;-) The Desert Garden is such a nice place to visit. It's so different from any we have here.

Ah, another wonderful Hauser sculpture. When we get to Santa Fe in Feb/March, I'll have to post a few more!

It tells a story.

This is superb. In this type of desert terrain, it looks like they might have a long walk to find a green pasture.
