Warm Springs Apache Man

Another one of the sculptures by Allan Houser and on display at the Desert Botanical Garden was this one called "Warm Springs Apache Man". What a beautiful face basking in the warm Arizona sunshine. This exhibit is scheduled to run through May 30, 2010.
Though cast in bronze, his eyes still seemed to be full of expression.

What a fantastic sculpture! Is it as tall as a person or a little bigger?

Hauser is a master sculptor, don't you think? I've spent a fair amt of time in Santa Fe, and, of course, always try to revisit Hauser's artwork on my visits. The close-up you posted is excellent.

This is an amazing work of art and it looks right at home there in the garden.

The head is beautiful and I'm glad you've made a close-up of the eyes. It really works!
