The Beauty of Nature

When I saw this butterfly flitting from flower to flower, I grabbed my camera and went in hot pursuit. I think I snapped 20 pictures hoping for just one good one. This was it.

Lovely butterfly.
As I understand it when Robert McCulloch was buying London Bridge he thought he was actually buying Tower Bridge. Many still think that Tower Bridge is london Bridge.

They ARE difficult to capture, aren't they...but patience always wins out. This is a beautiful butterfly, and I'm glad that you managed to get this lovely photo. Reminds me of the series I recently published, and I need to go back to the exhibit at our Como Zoo in St. Paul.

A tiger swallowtail! It happens to be my town's official insect.

Nice capture, they are hard to catch and if your shadow falls on them they are off in a flash. This one has seen some hard times...the wings are missing some edges.

Great shot. I hope you got this in the early morning not in the 113 temp we have been having.

It looks like our Tiger Swallowtails. They are not yet out and about here. I looked in my journal last year and it was almost August before any appeared.
