Something new in downtown

I recently attended an event at the new Sheraton Hotel in downtown Phoenix and got my first glimpse of this new facility. The hotel is a 31 story high-rise that has recently thrust its way into the downtown Phoenix skyline.

I was impressed with the beauty of the hotel interior and the outstanding artwork located all over the public areas.

The photo above is of the escalators leading from the second floor meeting spaces to the street level lobby. I love that tear-drop chandelier in the center.

The small photo is a close up of the chandelier.

Nice perspective. I like the warm russet colors and the chandelier is very pretty. (I didn't realize until I enlarged the photo that the chandelier itself is shaped like a teardrop as well as the lights) Is that one of those waterfall walls in back of the chandelier?

Very elegant! The chandelier is beautiful and so is the artwork behind it!

Downtown Phoenix has needed another large convention hotel for a long time. The expansion of the convention center made it a necessity.

Looks very nice. The chandelier is interesting, do the lights shine down on the glass from above? It looks like there is a fountain wall there too. What does the outside of the building look like?

Chicago & Jarart, the wall behind is made with copper and some other material and is not a water feature. It does look shiney though!

Looks exclusive, lush and I'd love to spend some time there...

This is so much finer than the horrid Marriott in San Francisco!
