A Favorite Spot

This is one of my favorite little corners at the Desert Botanical Gardens. It’s shaded and quiet and on a path that few people take. That little round irrigation pipe at the end of the bench is always spilling onto the plants below and making a very pleasant babbling sound similar to a mountain stream.
When the Chihuly exhibit was here, this spot seemed to always be busy with people snapping pictures. Behind the bench was a lovely exhibit of green glass that just seemed to belong in this cool and shaded area. Click on the small photo to get a better view of the Chihuly glass that resided in this wonderful spot.

I would love to sit here and journal in my book--looks like a great spot for reflecting! Beautiful photo!

You have a good sense of space for quiet time. I will never tire of Chihuly's work, me and a million other people!

Are you afraid of rattlesnakes taking a break in the shade? Gosh that would worry the daylights out of me.

A nice spot indeed.

Abe, I never worry about rattlesnakes in Arizona unless i am out on a hike in their territory, and they I simply watch the trail. They do not go out and seek people. They would prefer to stay away from people.

Sharon, great photo of one of my favorite resting spots at the garden. Sat here with wine and friends on occasion.

Shady trees, a place to sit, the sound of water, and Chihuly… sounds perfect!

I can see why you would like to rest here.

I remember that spot, it was full of people when we were there, but I could see that it was a perfect spot to sit and reflect and listen to the birds and the water. I remember there were birds bathing there at that time.
