Things we tend not to see

Once I started watching closely for things to photograph for this blog, I began to see things that I had never noticed before. They would pop up when trying to frame a photo and I’d find myself positioning so that I could exclude them. Once I started seeing them, I saw them everywhere in all colors and shapes.

So, finally I thought why fight it. I’ll take some pictures of these numerous pipes and valves and see what I can do with them. This collage is the result.

Great collection! Some of them are made with real attitude towards small urban design/art pieces :) Cheers!

Ahhh Phoenix! I used to visit every summer for work but now I have left Chrysler so I'll miss you.
Great collage! This winter (in the snow) I took a series of pics around the towns here of things to do with water pipes. I posted a few (Jan 12 & 28, 2009). A collage would be a wonderful idea since I wasn't sure of what to do with them all.

I like that idea....if you can't beat them, join them! (in a collage) We do try to over look these things though.

I love those views of hidden infrastructure.

This is a great collage. You are so right about noticing things once you start a photography blog!

The things we take for granted, and the design decisions that go into them.

I really like these. Its nice to see beauty in the everyday and mundane. Also we don't have these in England, so they are rather foreign objects for me.
