Watermelon Radish


It’s Saturday and many people will be heading for their local Farmer’s Market to pick up some fresh vegetables and fruit. Here is a peppery little radish to look for. I had never seen this variety before but as you can see it’s quite attractive.

I never thought a radish could be pretty! We only have a farmer's market here from June until September. :(

This is backwards from a regular radish, i.e. white on the outide and red on the inside instead of vice versa. Somehow, the red inside of this radish lopoks like it should taste better than a white interior.

I love radishes of all types. I often eat them with no salt. JUst washed and raw. nice photo
