That’s a wrap

Phoenix will be the host of the National Basketball Association All-Star game on Sunday at the U. S. Airways arena in downtown Phoenix. In honor of the occasion, T-Mobile sponsored this huge tribute covering two sides of the Bank of America building that faces the arena downtown. It took over a week to cover the two sides of this building with the vinyl banner. Pictured in the ad are Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets, Dwyane Wade of Miami Heat, and Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic.

Goodness, that's extraordinary. One of those 'only in America' moments!

This is so neat! Too bad none of the Phoenix Suns got to have their image on a building.

How exciting! Of all the pro sports, basketball is my favorite.

I'm used to seeing big vinyl signs like this put on buildings along Sunset Blvd. and in Burbank to promote movies. I've never seen one for a sporting event.

I thought about going downtown just to see that.

I wonder what it is like inside the building looking out through the photos.

I have some pictures like that of buildings wrapped in banners from when they had the the game here. It really makes downtown look a lot different. Hope you enjoy the game.
