Foggy Morning

These golfers at the Encanto Park Driving Range seem to be saying “where did that ball go?” Saturday morning was a chilly one in Phoenix and when I saw the sun coming up I grabbed my camera and drove down to Encanto Park to see if I could get some good sunrise pictures. That’s when I spotted the fog over the golf course and decided that would make an interesting photo. It was about 42 degrees (F) and there were still dozens of golfers getting ready for a frosty round of golf.

Great catch, if you had been much later that fog would have already burned off.

this is a great shot. Too bad, the Viad building isn't in the background. Are those tall buildings on Central?

Hi Pat, yes those high-rise buildings are on Central Ave.

Hehe...42 degrees must seem cold down there, up here the joggers would be out in their shorts. I see you like to grab the camera and head out to catch a shot like many of us. I've been trying to catch a particular shot for a couple of weeks now, but can't seem to get it. Just have to keep trying. Nice catch on the fog.

Great photo. It was worth the trip out in the cold. How can anyone play golf in the fog?

Another really cool photo. The golfers silhouettes against the fog is really nice. Nice shot!
